My husband Charles and I would like to share a moment we had with our
beloved daughter, Caroline Rae.

When I was 25 weeks pregnant, her heart simply stopped. It was very heartbreaking for us
to have lost her on August 7, 2009. It was very hard on us but we were fortunate to
have held her in our arms for a few moments. Just for a few weeks before, she was dancing
in my belly. Now I tell everyone she is happily dancing in heaven.

Now that the holidays are here, it has been very hard on us lately so I reached out to
several friends who have gone through the same thing, for words and support during this
difficult time. Caroline Rae would have been 1 month and 6 days, and she'd be all
dolled up for the holidays.

One of my friends had a wonderful idea. Whenever her son's birthday rolls around,
she'd kiss the balloon and let go so he could have it in heaven.

And thus, Charles and I thought we could do that for Caroline as her first Christmas present.
So we asked our dear friend,
Tate Tullier to take photos of us handing our gift to Caroline so
she can celebrate her first Christmas with us.

......and since the friends who have gone through the same thing immediately contacted us after
our loss have been nothing but wonderful support for us, and made us realize that there is hope.

And thus, we wanted to return our favor for everything they have done for us.....
and so we also got balloons for their children in heaven. And what did you know,
their balloons stuck together as they flew up there. It was a sweet sight.

We then let go of Caroline's balloon. It quickly followed to join the others.

We miss her so very much and we know for sure she's having a wonderful Christmas,
along with her friends, up in heaven.

Merry Christmas and Lots of love to you, Caroline Rae!

Tate's wife Sarah did a wonderful job capturing the process of having the balloons taken.
It sure was windy but the day couldn't be any more beautiful!
